The American Premier Hockey League (APHL), a Senior A, Amateur Semi-Pro Adult Hockey League, is currently inviting applications for new expansion teams to join for the upcoming 2026/2027 season.

What is Senior A Semi-Pro Hockey?

Senior A hockey is a semi-professional or amateur league tailored for players who have aged out of youth hockey. Participants typically have prior experience in Junior, College, and/or Minor Pro Hockey.

What is the APHL?

The American Premier Hockey League is an international competitive hockey league featuring teams based in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, and Ridgetown, Canada. The APHL promotes full-contact play, enabling skilled hockey players to continue their careers after Junior, College, and/or Minor Pro Hockey. APHL teams have affiliations with FPHL teams, utilizing players being called up and down between the leagues. Teams are owned by their respective clubs and compete in local rinks throughout the region.
