League Announcement
The American Premier Hockey League has announced that the Iron City Forge will suspend operations for the remainder of the 2025–2026 season, effective immediately.
New ownership is in place and will take over ahead of the 2026–2027 season. The franchise will return with a full rebrand, including a new team name, logo, and home rink location. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
All Iron City Forge players have been released and will enter free agency, allowing them to sign with other APHL teams and continue competing for the remainder of the season.
The APHL remains committed to supporting its players and ensuring the long-term strength and stability of the league.
