Motor City Muskies Launch Inaugural Prospect Camp, Kicking Off APHL Offseason
Lincoln Park, MI – June 9, 2025
The Motor City Muskies officially kicked off the 2025-26 APHL offseason this past weekend by hosting their first-ever prospect camp at Southgate Ice Arena. With over 30 players hitting the ice, the camp marked a major milestone for the Muskies as they begin building their inaugural roster in preparation for their debut season in the American Premier Hockey League.
The Muskies, based out of Lincoln Park, Michigan, attracted a strong mix of talent—ranging from local standouts to out-of-state prospects eager to make their mark. The two-day event featured high-intensity drills, competitive scrimmages, and evaluation sessions led by the team’s coaching staff.
Joshua Way, President of the APHL, shared his enthusiasm as the league’s first official camp of the season got underway:
“This weekend’s camp is a great sign of what’s ahead,” said Way. “The Muskies did a phenomenal job hosting, and the turnout proves there’s real excitement building around this team. We’re proud to see new franchises like Motor City laying strong foundations. Camps like this are the first step in creating something special.”
The APHL’s offseason is now in full swing, with additional prospect camps, signings, and team announcements on the horizon as excitement builds for the 2025-26 season.
